Our Story

Guadalupe’s Best RV Park and the Dam Red Barn have been part of the Canyon Lake community since 1995. Before the RV park was built, the property was home to Freeman’s Cafe, a local restaurant that welcomed visitors and neighbors alike.


Today, Guadalupe’s Best RV Park offers a quiet place to stay near the Guadalupe River, with trails for fishing, swimming, tubing, and more. Guests can also visit the Dam Red Barn next door, a local favorite known for live music, karaoke, sporting events, and food trucks.

Rates & Info

General Info

  • All listed rates include up to four guests. Additional guests are $6 per person, with a maximum of eight people per site. Each site allows up to two vehicles.
  • Tent sites can fit two tents, and some sites may fit up to four depending on the site and tent sizes. Sites 10 A/B, 15 A/B, 22, and 23 are designated for larger tent groups. Some tent sites also include shaded small pavilions for an additional $5 per tent, per night.
  • Monthly stay availability varies, so please call to check current openings. Availability may be limited during the summer season.
  • Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay. Weekly stays may offer a better rate depending on your visit.

Policies

Check-In

  • Arrival time is between 10:30 AM and 9:00 PM. If you plan to arrive outside of check-in hours, please call ahead to make arrangements.


Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least two weeks before the start of your reservation. Reservations canceled within two weeks of the arrival date are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made more than two weeks before the arrival date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay.


Campfires and BBQ Pits

  • On-ground campfires are not allowed. Guests may bring an above-ground fire pit or BBQ pit.
  • Before using a fire pit, please contact Comal County to confirm that there is no active burn ban. This helps avoid possible fines or tickets.


Pets

  • Pets are welcome with some restrictions. Dogs must weigh under 45 pounds, and a maximum of two dogs are allowed per site. Certain breeds may not be allowed due to insurance requirements.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pet fees are $20 for one dog or $30 for two dogs.


Children

  • Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Children age three and under stay free.


Vehicles and Extra Parking

  • Each site allows up to two vehicles. Additional vehicles are subject to a $10 flat fee and must be parked in the extra parking area near the white fence, as shown on the site map.
  • Boats, jet skis, trailers, and other extra equipment are subject to a $15 fee each. These items must also be parked in the extra parking area near the white fence.


Prohibited Vehicles

  • UTVs, ATVs, golf carts, minibikes, dirt bikes, and similar vehicles are not allowed in the park. Guests who violate this policy may be asked to leave immediately.


Payment & Security

  • Full payment is due upfront at the time of booking.
  • Credit card information is stored and processed securely.
