Gennaro and his family opened their first restaurant in 1988 in Deer Park, Texas. It was named Antonio's Pizza & More and was a thriving success.  They soon expanded to three locations including restaurants La Porte, Texas and Baytown, Texas. With their success they set their eyes on bringing something new and more personal to their business and built a restaurant in Texas Hill Country. This restaurant would be called Gennaro's Trattoria and was built in the very heart of Canyon Lake, Texas.

Part of Gennaro and his family's success is due to the generations that came before them. Their dishes which originate from authentic Naples, Italy recipes. These recipes were passed down from generation to generation until they finally reached Gennaro's Trattoria's gourmet menu.  Their Antipasta Menu includes options like Antipasto Italiano, Bruschette, Granchio al Limone, Calamari Fritti, Caprese, Mussels al Pepe, Melanzane Ana Maria, and Polpette di Agnello. Their Insalate e Zuppe includes dishes like Insalata Italiana, Insalata Romana, Cioppino, and Zuppa del Giorno. As far as pasta goes Gennaro's Trattoria offers whole wheat and gluten free pasta upon request. Their pasta dishes include Spaghetti con Polpette or Bolognese, Rigatoni con Salsiccia, Melenzane Parmigiana, Lasagne della Nona, Lasagne Emiliana, and Pasta Pipiena de Giorno. Their Pollo options include Parmigiana, Pollo Alfredo, Cacciatore, and Fiorentina which is a gluten free option. Their Carne options include Agnello, Manza Portabella, Bistecca Fiorentia, and Osso Buco-Vitello.  For those craving seafood their Frutti di Mare include Salmone Romano, Presce del Giorno, Gamberi Alfredo, Risotto or Linguine di Mare, and Gamberi Portabella.
